Join the 2017 coffee delegation

We want to hear from people interested in being part of our 2017 BOSIA Coffee Delegation. This experience will introduce participants to many different facets of Ometepe and Nicaragua, but will feature the opportunity to meet and get to know the Ometepe farming families who produce the coffee beans that the Sister Islands Association sells. The delegation will happen during the coffee harvest on Ometepe, and we will pick coffee cherries and learn about processing coffee from cherry to green bean. We will also visit other BOSIA-supported projects and additionally have time to experience the culture and natural beauty of Ometepe. The trip will also include 2 days on the mainland – in Granada and Masaya. We welcome first-time visitors to Ometepe.
The per-person cost for our time in Nicaragua will be around $700, which includes meals, lodging, and all ground transportation, while the plane fare from Seattle to Managua will add $600-$800.
