All profits support community projects on Ometepe Island in Nicaragua. Prices include shipping anywhere in the United States.

Since the last time we raised our website coffee prices in 2020, costs involved in exporting, shipping, importing, storing, and roasting our coffee have all increased. In addition, because of our commitment to pay a fair price for our coffee, this spring we responded to the increased cost of living in Nicaragua and to world-wide coffee price increases by adding to the amount we pay our growers per pound for their coffee. When our pricing stays the same in the face of those rising costs, what gets squeezed down is the profit that we apply to help fund our programs on Ometepe supporting health, education, and community projects. The members of the BOSIA coffee committee felt we needed to rebalance that goal, and so voted for a price increase. Those changes are now reflected in this website, and, as noted above, our prices still include shipping anywhere in the US. As an all-volunteer organization with no personnel costs, we are able to direct more than a quarter of your coffee price towards benefiting the people of Ometepe. It is this that makes our coffee extra special, and we thank you very much for being the crucial link in this relationship.
