2018 Library Delegation

Photography delegation teaches skills to deaf children
The January Special Needs Delegation, let by Brenda Berry, continued workshops in photography for deaf children. We originated this project with the goal of providing these kids with the opportunity to express themselves creatively to the hearing and non-hearing communities.
Another Ometepe “sister” celebrates 30th anniversary
We aren’t the only community association that’s enjoyed a long friendship with Ometepe. The Ometepe-Gulf Islands Friendship Association, on Salt Spring Island in British Columbia, has roots nearly as deep as ours.
Ordway books for sister school
Three second-graders from Ordway Elementary School — Kaia Robb-Goldberg, Magda Ruffo-Hill, and Abby Corns — guided by office manager Lauren Melville, organized a Wintergram fundraiser for Ordway's sister school in La Concepcion, Ometepe. The effort raised $286 which will purchase
Successful coffee delegation
When the 2017 Coffee Delegation traveled to Nicaragua from Nov. 28 to Dec. 11, the group of four were treated to 11 fantastic days on Ometepe and had opportunities to explore the mainland cities of Masaya, Granada and Rivas.
30th Anniversary celebrated on Ometepe
